Today, the Portland Thorns announced key updates to the technical staff.
After leading the team as interim head coach through the 2026 preseason, Sarah Lowdon has been named First Assistant Coach. Lowdon has been at the club since 2024. She has been pivotal to the early start of the season at 3-1-1 (second in NWSL).
The club has also added two-time NWSL Championship coach, Jen Lalor as Assistant Coach, Individual Development. She arrives after three seasons with NJ/NY Gotham FC from 2023-2025.
"Lalor will oversee and track the development of individual players, working with the athletes to set tailored goals that align with team efforts."
