After the defeat suffered in May (3-1), the Portland Thorns got even last Sunday when they hosted Racing Louisville and finished the game with an emphatic result of 4-0.
Lineups and some stats
There were some changes in both lineups, with the visitors making five in the starting XI. They included Jordyn Bloomer in goal, Mirann Gacioch and Ellie Jean as centrebacks, the addition of Macey Hodge to the midfield, and Sarah Weber to the forward line. Coach Bev Yanez also changed formation, switching from the 4-2-3-1 to a more traditional 4-3-3 against the Thorns.
While Portland just made three changes in the lineup, including Jayden Perry in the backline, Jennie Immethun in the midfield, and Reylin Turner in the frontline. Of course, the one that caught most eyes was Immethun in the number six position for Cassandra Bogere.
