Reilyn Turner
Reilyn Turner spoke to me about her new contract extension, professional soccer journey, versatility to play all over the frontline, her growing comfort as a winger, Mackenzie "Macca" Arnold's captaincy & impact on the team, solving the goalscoring drought for the forwards, and previewed the Angel City FC match with a new-look midfield that includes Hina Sugita & Nealy Martin.
She also shares her love of painting and nails (her birthday version will be seen in the ACFC match).

"It says a lot about the club investing in me. I'm just very grateful Jeff [Agoos] and the club as a whole have decided to bet on me and extend me."
"My mom was very involved the whole thing. I'm sure she knew things before I did."
"I feel like some skill sets I hadn't really tapped into before I started playing out wide was taking players on, getting in behind. I think that part of my game has really improved."
"We haven't had many goals lately. I've been in a drought... I feel like this group has a lot of motivation, I think it's just frustration building up."
Rob Gale provides an update on the availability of the squad, Reilyn Turner's extension & development, addresses the lack of shutouts since the break, the forwards' scoring drought, and previews the ACFC match.
"TBD. Without giving anything away, we got a couple banged-up players that we're monitoring."
"It's been a good development year for Reilyn [Turner] - a lot of minutes, we've relied on her."
"We've talked about it in recruitment earlier in the year. I think we found players opportunistically, came in and provided some cover and depth, but not the like-for-like replacement that we missed - not in line with the recruitment strategy."
"Has to be in line with the skill sets, what they're able, and ready to offer. I think that's where in our recruitment needed to look at it. Certainly the solutions moving forward is to make sure we've got more balance across our roster and more pieces that will serve the picture, not just as last minute replacements."
"We need that extra little bit of edge on both ends of the field."
