“We are happy to have Marie remain in Portland after demonstrating incredible resilience to come back from injury and contributing to the strong start we have had this season,” President and General Manager of Soccer Operations Jeff Agoos said. “She has been a huge part in our success of building a championship caliber team and we look forward to her continued impact as a member of the Portland Thorns.”

After being sidelined in 2025 with an ACL Injury, Müller returned in 2026, dazzling at fullback and winger. She is coming off career milestones: scoring her first NWSL goal in April and international goal for Germany in June. The defender has earned 11 appearances (eight starts) this season.

Marie Müller transferred from SC Freiburg in the Frauen-Bundesliga in February 2024 and has turned into one of the very best defenders in the league.

Now, she'll be returning for another season.
