Today, the Portland Thorns have announced that Morgan Weaver has been activated off the season-ending injury list and she will be available for selection in tomorrow's match vs Gotham FC.

In the preseason of the 2025 season, she was placed on the SEI list with a right-knee injury.

At media day in February, Morgan Weaver shared an update:

"I'll be out there this year. We don't have a timeline, but it'll be this year. I think for me personally, I'm just wanting to get on the field, and I'm not worried about a timeline, and I'm going to make sure I feel 100% it could be earlier than the timeline, it could be later. It's just what I want. And so I think that's the best part, is when I feel 100% ready, is what I'll be on the field."

Throughout her recovery, she has been very open about her journey through it all.

A New Perspective — Morgan Weaver reflects on a 2025 season from the sidelines
“There has been times where Caiya and I have been working out together, when we’ve just done PT at the same time, so we’ll be with each other screaming at each other in the weight room like ‘let’s go!’”

Over the past few weeks, head coach Robert Vilahamn mentioned that her return was imminent.

Now, she is set to play her first minutes since November 2024 (Quarterfinals at Gotham).

When Morgan Weaver steps onto Providence Park pitch tomorrow, the thunderous applause and decibel levels will reach brand new heights.
